I was pleasantly surprised when Tom gave me ideas on getting the best price for my VAMS than he could offer. I felt like I was in the movie “Miracle on 34th Street”. Well, in 2014 that miracle happened on American Blvd. in Bloomington, Minnesota. This company, American Rare Coin, wants your business. Next month I will let them send these coins to PCGS for grading. It is always nice to have a Santa Claus in the coin business.

I’ve done business with American Rare Coin 4 times in the last 5 years. I have found them to be efficient, professional, patient, honest, and courteous. Because I have a very poor knowledge of value of collectibles compared to their staff, I always feared I might be taken. That fear was dispelled entirely when in the process of appraising a handful of coins I thought were worth no more than a dollar apiece, I was offered $300 for one of them.
