My experience with American Rare Coin was wonderful and all the staff was friendly and inviting. I inherited two boxes of coins and had no idea what they were worth. I sat down with Tony A. and he sorted through the coins in front of me. Tony knew what he was doing and he purchased most of my coins at a more than fair price. If I ever have the need to have more coins appraised, I would definitely return to American Rare Coin and work with Tony again.

When my mother passed away, I became an heir to a large cache of precious metals in the form of gold coins, silver bars, and 90% silver coins. I live 1700 miles from where my family was storing it on my behalf, and had the thorny task of figuring out how I could access and liquidate my holdings.
This past summer I flew into Minneapolis for a family wedding. Prior to my travel, I had submitted an inquiry through the American Rare Coin website and I received a prompt response from their sales manager. He answered all of my questions, and was very straightforward in regard to what I could expect when my items were evaluated and priced. I had contacted other metals dealers in Minneapolis as well, and they either did not respond, or were very cagey in their replies.
While in Minneapolis I sold the easily transportable items to American Rare Coin. I was treated fairly and equitably, and was very satisfied with the transaction. I went from pleased to ecstatic, however, when they offered to travel several hours to pick up the remainder of the estate. That second transaction was just as smooth and transparent, and accomplished without my presence.
